Peru's May squid exports to China decreased by 20%, major changes in export categories, China remains the "top buyer"

Squid Head Exports
In May, Peru exported 4,820 tons of squid heads (including water beards) to China, equivalent to 178 containers, slightly lower than the 192 containers in April.
Squid Ear Exports
In May, Peru exported 2,761 tons of squid ears to China, equivalent to 102 containers, significantly higher than the 51 containers in April.
Squid Fillet Exports
In May, Peru exported 7,153 tons of squid fillets to China, equivalent to 265 containers, an increase of 68 containers compared to the 197 containers in April.
Squid Tube Exports
In May, Peru exported 1,292 tons of squid tubes to China, equivalent to 47 containers, a decrease of 20 containers compared to April.
Tubes with Ears Exports
In May, Peru exported 9,958 tons of tubes with ears to China, equivalent to 369 containers, only 60% of the export volume in April, a decrease of 244 containers.
Whole Body Exports
In May, Peru exported 5,915 tons of whole squid to China, equivalent to 219 containers, only 57% of the export volume in April, a decrease of 163 containers.
